Many clients come to me in search of their soul purpose.  This could be as a new career direction or simply a call to fulfill their passion and make a difference in the world.

“But I don’t know where to start!”

I hear this often.

I wish I could say that there is one simply answer that we can immediately tune into, or that our spirit guides give us that ‘A-ha’ moment and then everything falls into place.  But it is much more of a journey of exploration, of trial and error, that leads us in the direction of our soul.

Based on your nature and your experiences from other lifetimes you will have areas of expertise/interest even if you are not aware of them.  To begin to tap into this, I will prompt clients to recall their earlier years for therein lie the clues:

  • Interests as a child
  • TV programs, movies and books that deeply resonated with you
  • Career area you were led to
  • Ways others see and have described you
  • Moments in daily life that brought you joy/excitement
  • Challenges you surmounted (what you have learned you are poised to share)

Begin by making two lists – one of all the topics, moments, abilities, aspects of a role that you know you enjoy, and the other list of what you know you DON’T want.  As you gain more insights add to the lists, and thus you begin to paint a general picture of what the new you could look like.  As you define an area of interest your spirit guides will bring you opportunities to explore and experience so that you can narrow the focus further.

Avoid the need to put a label on role or direction, and know that in the coming years there will be an explosion of new technologies, understandings, and ways to serve your purpose that would never have been possible before.  Also know that all of your interests, expertise, and experience can coalesce into a unique offering unlike anyone else’s.

If you know yourself to be a Starseed then you may resonate with a role such as being a teacher or healer, for both of these will be direly needed as the billions on planet Earth begin to wake up.  Perhaps you are here to work with nature/Gaia through energy work or environmental approaches.  Are you a leader come to show a new way of collaborating and cooperating as the old control structures on the planet fall apart?

Whatever your spirit is calling you to explore or become I encourage you to fearlessly dive deeper.  Embrace becoming a new version of yourself in which you do what you love, and feel fulfilled and excited about each day.
